More impressive price per square foot numbers for Redwood City's standards. Just 1 of the 13 closed sales this past week came in at under a million dollars - a trend that we have grown accustomed to of late. Two of my sales in the Woodside Plaza neighborhood went final - 2064 Idaho Court, an older 3 bed/2bath at around 1,500 S/F, went for $1,240,000, and 2447 Massachusetts Avenue, a 3 bed/2 bath remodel at just under 2,000 S/F, went for $1.5 million even.
The Woodside Plaza neighborhood - stretching from Valota to Alameda, and Roosevelt to Woodside Road - is one of Redwood City's more up and coming neighborhoods. Historically, it has been known as a starter neighborhood for young families looking to set roots in Redwood City. And with the Henry Ford School District steadily improving its ranking, the area certainly still appeals to young families. But as Redwood City has grown, the neighborhood has seen a wave of investment into flipping its more dated homes - a number of which we’ve sold. The resulting facelift has created a neighborhood in which more and more people feel comfortable settling long-term. I've been a party to 6 Woodside Plaza sales in just over 3 months, so I've witnessed this trend first hand.
